To make the Peg Art Love Heart you will need...
17 clothes pegs (dismantled - springs removed)
Wood Glue - Clear drying is best
Bronze Paint
A green garden cane
Ribbon and artificial roses to decorate ( you can buy these from Hobbycraft)
The printable map showing you where the pegs should go. Print your Peg Art Love Heart Map off Here.
First you need to set out the pegs as per the map. The yellow pegs are at the bottom and should be placed flat side down.
The pegs at the top middle of the heart and at the bottom tip should have the tapered part of the peg pointing down. Later on the second round of pegs will need to overlap to fix it all together and overlapping is easier on the tapered part of the peg.
Green indicates the second round of pegs. These overlap the pegs on the first layer a bit like a brick wall.
Finally the Orange shows you the third layer.
Using wood glue stick all these pegs into place and leave over night to dry.
In the mean time glue the pegs together ready for the arrow. The photo below shows you the formation of the pegs to make Cupids arrow. Again leave overnight to dry.

To make Cupid's Arrow Head
This peg has its two halves in the same way it would have been with the spring in it, however it has been glued where you would normally press the peg to open it.

To Make the Cupid's Arrow feathers
Start off in the centre with another Cupid's arrowhead. To either side of this stick a peg half. Stick the peg halves flat side to the arrow head, just below the shaped part of the peg.
Add two more peg halves either side again - Flat back onto the main part of the feathers, just below the shaping on the previous peg.

When the arrow parts are dry, glue them to a length of green garden cane that is a bit longer than the width of the peg heart. Leave to dry.
When all the glue has dried, give the heart and cupids arrow a couple of coats of paint, and leave to dry.
Decorate the heart with ribbon and artificial roses and glue the Cupid's arrow into place remembering that it should go through the heart. The feathers part should be under the heart and the arrowhead should be placed over the heart.
