Origami Valentines Rose Instructions

Fold the square piece of paper in half corner to corner to make a triangle. Then fold the triangle in half again. Unfold all these folds.
With the coloured side down and using the fold lines as a guide, fold the corners of the paper in to the centre.
Next fold in the corners again as you did in the previous step but this time using the lines of where the previous flaps meet as the guidelines.
Turn the work over and turn the tips of each corner in, using the guidelines on the underside of the rose. The tips that you turn should be as wide and the straights that will be left, this is to give the rose a rounded base.
Turn the work over. Take each of the four flaps in turn and fold them back on to themselves to create the first row of petals.
The previous step reveals more flaps in the middle of the rose. Fold these flaps back on themselves. And let them stand upwards.
