Button Heart Valentines Decoration
Difficulty Rating -

At Valentines you see a lot of these Button heart decorations in the hand crafted gift shops, but they are so easy to make and are a lovely way to decorate a room for Valentines day.
But a button love heart decoration isn't just for Valentines; they can bring a bit of romance to any room all year through.
To Make a Button Heart decoration you will need...
Some Garden wire - the silver coloured one is nice for this craft project.
An assortment of red and pink buttons - interesting shapes and sizes are great.
Some Ribbon
First cut yourself a length of wire. Remember the bigger you want the finished heart to be, the more wire you will need now. Also bear in mind that the more wire you use the more buttons you will need.
Fold the end of the wire over (minding your fingers - the end of the wire can be sharp) Put a pencil in the loop and twist the two bits of wire together. This makes the hanging loop for the heart.
Next start threading the buttons onto the wire. Try and make them face the same way and space the buttons about a finger's width apart.
When the wire is covered in buttons, twist the end of the wire around the twisted wire where the hanging loop is to make a circle. Then shape the wire to form a love heart.
Cut some lengths of ribbon and tie them to the top of the heart to hide the twisted wire near the hanging loop. Ties the ribbons into bows.
