With one sheet of newspaper and fold it in half lengthways.
Roll the paper up thinly into a tube.
Fold the roll on half and tape the 'leg like' rolls together directly below the fold.
Turn each leg up about 1 quarter of the length of the leg.
With the taped up part pointing up, curl the legs around and down and tape the ends together with the turn-ups on the inside of the leaf.
You can either leave the leaf hollow, or paper mache over the hole to make a solid looking symbol.
